Privacy Policy

Infinite Monkey (“we”, “us”) is a browser game. This page explains what data we collect and why. We try to keep it minimal — most of the game runs entirely in your browser.

What we collect

• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile image, used to identify your leaderboard entry and let you sign back in.
• If you play as a guest: the nickname you choose. No email or account is required.
• Gameplay data: your best streak, the text your monkey produced for that streak, attempt counts, and aggregate keystroke totals. Some of this is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
• Technical data: standard request information and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Nicknames and content

Leaderboard nicknames are public. We filter names for slurs and hateful content, and we may remove any entry or name at our discretion to keep the leaderboard friendly.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, how many people launch a monkey). Google may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and, via the third parties above, for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in may stop working without them.

Your consent choices

We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default until you accept them on the consent banner. Wherever you are, you can change your mind at any time by selecting “Cookie preferences” in the footer to re-open the banner and accept or reject non-essential cookies. Essential cookies (sign-in and remembering your consent choice) are always used, as the site can't function without them.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your leaderboard entry until you ask us to remove it or your account is deleted. To request deletion of your data, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
